Overview

Day 1 : Arrival TMC – Bondo Kapumbu Village – Salt Farmers Visit – Lendongara Hill Sunset
Upon arrival at Tambolaka Airport in southwest Sumba, you will be greeted by our guide. Afterward, we will head to a local restaurant for lunch. Following lunch, we will begin our journey by visiting Bondo Kapumbu Village, a secluded traditional village in southwest Sumba. Next, we will proceed to Ketewel Beach, where you can observe the traditional salt-making process by local salt farmers. We will then continue to Lendongara, where you can enjoy a beautiful sunset overlooking the hills and the Sumba landscape. After the sunset, we will transfer you to your hotel for check-in and some rest at Mario Hotel.

Day 2 : Ratenggaro Village – Weekuri Lake – Mandorak Beach
After breakfast, we will visit Ratenggaro Village in the Kodi area to see traditional high-roofed houses, the tallest in Sumba, built using traditional methods. This village is one of the few remaining in the area, with each house housing up to 50 family members. During harvest season, most villagers work in the fields, leaving only the elders and children in the village. Next, we will head to Weekuri Lake, a crystal-clear lake perfect for swimming and relaxing. Enjoy a swim or walk around the rocks and reef with views of the ocean. Lunch boxes will be provided. We will then visit Mandorak Beach, located near Weekuri Lake, surrounded by rock ridges and clear water. Afterward, we return to the hotel to rest. Overnight stay at Mario Hotel.

Day 3 : Sumba Cashew Farm & Production – Waikacura Rice Field – Watubela Beach
After breakfast, we will visit Talasi to explore a cashew farm and learn about the production process. You’ll also have the chance to try their fresh cashew milk. Next, we’ll head to the Waikacura area for a trek through the rice fields, where you can observe local farmers at work. The trek ends at a beautiful river in the middle of the fields. Afterward, we’ll have lunch at a local restaurant in West Sumba. Then, we’ll visit the hidden Watubela Beach, passing through a small village and palm gardens along the way. You can relax on the beach before we return to your hotel at Rua Beach Hotel.

Day 4 : Sumbanese Cooking & Activities Experience – Lapopu Waterfall
After breakfast at the hotel, we will visit a traditional village in West Sumba, where you’ll be warmly welcomed by the locals. You’ll have the chance to talk with them, learn about the village’s history, and join in cooking traditional Sumba dishes. Once the meal is ready, enjoy lunch together, followed by coffee or tea. Next, we will head to Lapopu Waterfall. After a scenic drive through Sumba’s hilly, green landscape, we will hike for about 15 minutes, crossing a bamboo bridge to reach the waterfall. Enjoy the beautiful view before returning to the hotel to rest. Overnight stay at Rua Beach Hotel.

Day 5 : Praijing Village – Out TMC Airport
After breakfast and check-out, we will visit Praijing Village, a traditional village on a hillside surrounded by lush greenery. It offers a beautiful view of the village and a glimpse into local life. Take some time to walk around, where you’ll find elders in most homes and children greeting you with smiles. After the visit, we will head to the airport for your flight to the next destination.
