Immerse yourself in the rich Sundanese culture with a visit to Padasuka Village, home to the renowned Angklung Music School. Here, students will showcase a captivating performance that includes traditional wooden puppet shows, a bamboo orchestra, Sundanese Gamelan music, and vibrant dances.

Your experience begins with a 14:00 pick-up from your hotel, followed by a transfer to the Padasuka Music School. After enjoying the performance, we’ll return you to your hotel.

The angklung is a traditional musical instrument made from bamboo tubes attached to a bamboo frame. Each tube is carved to produce a resonant pitch when struck, and the tubes are tuned to different octaves. Performers hold the base of the frame in one hand while striking the tubes with the other, creating repeating notes. In an angklung ensemble, each performer plays one note, and together, they create beautiful melodies.

At Saung Angklung Udjo, also known as the House of Angklung, the philosophy of the performances is simple, affordable, educational, and entertaining. Their signature show, Kaulinan Urang Lembur (Villagers' Playtime), offers an engaging mix of short performances, starting with a Wayang Golek (wooden puppet) show, followed by traditional rituals, dances, children's games, an introduction to the angklung, a live angklung orchestra, an interactive session where visitors can play the angklung, and the Arumba performance. It’s a delightful and immersive experience for all ages.
