Overview

Step back in time and discover the rich history of Jakarta’s China Town and Fatahillah Square. This fascinating excursion takes you through centuries of history, from the Tang Dynasty in China (7th century) to the establishment of China Town in the 1670s, alongside the Dutch-era city hall. The journey also leads you to Fatahillah Square, a site filled with colonial-era landmarks.

We’ll begin with a pick-up service and drive directly to China Town, where you’ll embark on a walking tour of Indonesia’s oldest China Town. Explore the bustling market streets, including the vibrant wet market, and visit the Golden Wisdom Taoist Temple, dating back to the 1650s. The tour will continue through the lively area until we reach Fatahillah Square, where we’ll visit one of the historical buildings now housing the Puppet Museum or the Museum of Bank Indonesia. Afterward, we’ll return to the meeting point, concluding the excursion.

Note: The museums are closed on Mondays.
