Embark on an exciting culinary adventure in Jakarta’s China Town, where you’ll sample traditional Indo-Chinese, or "Peranakan," cuisine. These unique dishes, deeply rooted in local culture, are known for their distinct flavors and preparation methods that can’t be replicated elsewhere.

The journey begins at the Sarinah Building on Thamrin Street, where we’ll take a short walk to the Trans Jakarta station. We’ll board the public bus and travel to the China Town station, then explore the bustling streets, including the vibrant wet market and the Chinese Temple. As we stroll through the lively alleyways, we’ll visit popular Peranakan food stalls offering local favorites such as fried noodles, Indonesian spring rolls ("lumpia"), palm sugar cassava cake ("getuk"), rice cakes ("mipan"), fried meatballs ("bakso goreng"), meatball soup ("bakso kuah"), green leaf jelly drink ("cing cau"), and the irresistible fried dumplings ("kuo tie"). After enjoying this flavorful food tour, we’ll take the Trans Jakarta back to the meeting point, concluding the excursion.
