Overview
Embark on an exciting excursion through Jakarta’s historic heart, where you’ll immerse yourself in local life and culture. This tour offers a unique experience by using public transportation, followed by a stroll through the vibrant China Town and the historic Fatahillah Square.
The journey begins at the Sarinah Building on Thamrin Street, where we’ll take a short walk to the nearby Trans Jakarta station. From there, we’ll board the public bus and travel to the China Town station. Upon arrival, we’ll visit the historic Chinese meeting hall and then explore the oldest China Town area in Indonesia. Highlights include a visit to the Golden Wisdom Taoist Temple, dating back to the 1650s.
The walking tour will continue as we make our way to the central area of Fatahillah Square, known for its colonial architecture and historical significance. Afterward, we’ll return to the meeting point via Trans Jakarta to conclude the excursion.
